SOTD will group similar age and level students together after assessment.
Students will be evaluated on gross motor development, emotional maturity, attention span, muscle tone, and coordination.
While it is fair to say that age is typically a measure of maturity, age and maturity are not necessarily the same thing, especially when it comes to learners. Maturity plays a major role in a student's success.
The exact age at which a dancer reaches each level will vary.
Director/Instructor assessment will advance students when necessary; on a case-by-case basis.
Classes are sequential; building lesson to lesson. As such, regular attendance is important and part of the commitment expected when students enroll.
Please use your best judgment to choose an age-appropriate level for your dancer on ClassBug.
Once classes start, we will confirm with you that your dancer is in the correct class for his/her abilities.
